POSITION: Initial fixed-term contract, with potential for full-time in future
LOCATION: East Gippsland mobile team, direct to site (no depot)
START: Spring 2021 - Autumn 2022
QUALIFICATION: Conservation & Land Management (or similar) preferred
ABOUT THE JOB
If you need adventure and the great outdoors in your life, this is the opportunity for you! We're on the lookout for a Field Team Member to help us with an exciting pipeline of mountain, river and coastal projects in the beautiful East Gippsland region of Victoria.
• Environmental weed control using a variety of control methods
• WSUD maintenance (sensitive weed control)
• Remote, multi-day conservation works programs
• Other field duties as required
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders where required
If you have a Natural Resource Management or Conservation and Land Management qualification with at least two years of field experience, we'd love to hear from you. We're particularly keen to meet people with high threat weed control experience in remote environments. Our program of works covers a range of natural environments from the top of the catchment to the sea and may involve multi-day trips, so this is certainly a role for those seeking adventure!
You’ll be able to work 8-hour days Monday to Friday and take everything the environment and weather can throw at you to pursue your passion for natural resource management. You’ll also need an AgVet Chemical Users Certification, First Aid Level 2, and a Manual Drivers Licence (preferred).
In return, we're offering one of the most beautiful offices you'll ever see, a well-remunerated fixed-term contract (with the opportunity for future full-time work), and incredible variety in one of Australia's most naturally gifted regions.
