Habitat Creations is a family-owned company specialising in large-scale urban Landscaping and Open Space Maintenance. Our teams create and maintain some of Melbourne and Gippsland's most beautiful and sustainable soft landscapes, including urban parks, waterways and wetlands.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced gardener / open space maintenance professional to join our growing Landscape division.
As a Field Team Member – Landscape Maintenance, you’ll play a critical role in the maintenance and presentation of reserves, parks and other built and natural landscapes using a variety of manual, chemical and mechanical methods. You’ll work with a team of Landscape and Maintenance staff, using your horticulture knowledge and technical skills to undertake a variety of landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, mulching, planting, pruning, watering, and weed control to achieve a high visual standard and quality to meet and exceed client expectations.

ABOUT YOU
Essential:
​

Experience in garden / open space maintenance
-
Experience operating ride-on and zero-turn mowers, and brush cutters
-
Knowledge of environmental weeds including chemical and manual control methods
-
Construction White Card
-
ACUP (or equivalent)
-
First Aid Level II
-
Current Driver’s License and reliable transport
-
Reliable and punctual
-
Ability to work in all weather conditions
-
Can-do, team-first attitude
Preferred:

Horticulture or Parks & Gardens qualification (or similar)

Small plant experience (i.e. skid steer)
-
Chainsaw experience and ticket
