Habitat Creations is a family owned company specialising in large-scale urban landscaping, natural environment remediation and revegetation, and native plant supply via our Wholesale Nursery. Our field teams operate across Victoria, servicing a range of clients including Private Landholders, State and Local Government Departments, Water Authorities, Catchment Management Authorities, and the Civil Contracting & Residential Development Industry.

Together, we work towards our shared purpose; to leave an environmental legacy for our clients and local communities.

We have multiple employment opportunities available in our Planting team for an exciting large-scale urban landscaping project in Yarrawonga.

As a Field Team Member – Planting, you’ll work with a team of planters primarily responsible for installing a range of native plants in tubestock and hiko format, according to a landscape plan and set daily targets. Best of all, it's a 4 pm knock-off every day and the work is Monday-Friday, so you have every weekend all to yourself!

This is a short-term project-based role for a period of approximately 4-6 weeks, however, we’re sure the satisfaction you’ll get from creating this amazing new urban wetland landscape will endure much longer!

You love working outdoors, where the idea of four walls and a desk couldn't be further away. You enjoy hard work, and when it's knock-off time, knowing that you've spent the day doing something that matters. Sharing challenges and accomplishments with your teammates is what makes you go. You take pride in your work, but you have a bit of fun along the way.

Planting experience will be highly regarded but is not essential as training will be provided. To be considered for this role you’ll need:

•    Construction White Card
•    First Aid Level II
•    Current Driver’s License and reliable transport
•    Physical fitness and stamina, sufficient to fulfil physical aspects of the role
•    Proof of Coronavirus Vaccination (subject to state/federal health requirements)
•    Ability to supply your own steel capped boots, gumboots, long pants, long sleeve high-vis shirt and sun protection

Please 'apply now' via Seek. Make sure to include a copy of your resume and cover letter detailing any planting or outdoor work experience you have that indicates your suitability for the role. Applicants will need to participate in a short planting trial to assess suitability. It’s short, a bit of fun and a good chance for applicants to find out if it’s a role they’ll enjoy!
