ABOUT HABITAT CREATIONS
Habitat Creations is a family-owned company specialising in large-scale urban Landscaping and Open Space Maintenance. Our teams create and maintain some of Melbourne's most beautiful and sustainable soft landscapes, including urban parks, waterways and wetlands. At Habitat Creations our goal is to attract and retain great people, that's why we prioritise training and development, offer clear pathways for progression, and provide employees with a generous Employee Health, Wellness and Incentive Program.
We have multiple employment opportunities available in our Planting teams. With an exciting pipeline of large-scale soft landscaping projects for our industry-leading partners, this is your opportunity to join our team and help us transform Melbourne's East.
As a Field Team Member – Planting, you’ll play a critical role in the establishment of new and enhanced parks, reserves, wetlands and waterways. You’ll work with a team of planters primarily responsible for installing a range of native plants according to a landscape plan, and set daily targets. Opportunities may be available to progress into our Environment or Landscaping teams and secure long-term employment.
You love working outdoors, where the idea of four walls and a desk couldn't be further away. You enjoy hard work, and when it's knock-off time, knowing that you've spent the day doing something that matters. Sharing challenges and accomplishments with your teammates is what makes you go. You take pride in your work, but you have a bit of fun along the way. If this is you, we want to hear from you! To be considered for this role you'll also need:
A good level of fitness and stamina to tackle physical outdoor work
Construction Industry White Card
A driver's license and reliable vehicle (we meet on-site and public transport is rarely available nearby)
Previous planting or horticulture experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
Availability 5 days per week is preferred (Monday to Friday)
If this sounds like you, we have a well-paid role awaiting you with reliable, consistent hours. Best of all, it's a 4 pm knock-off every day and the work is Monday-Friday, so you have every weekend all to yourself! Planting experience will be highly regarded but is not essential as training will be provided.
Please apply via the links on Seek provided. Make sure to include a copy of your resume and cover letter detailing any planting or outdoor work experience you have that indicates your suitability for the role. Only short-listed applications will be contacted, and a short planting training and trial session may be required to secure employment.
